Why not update to the latest ZA versions and maybe the problem is fixed? The upgrades are free to all valid subscription holders.

    Uninstall like this....

Click on Start -> Programs -> Zone Labs
RIGHT-click on Uninstall Zone Labs Security, then select Properties
Under Target you will see the following line (the actual drive may be different on your system):

    "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninstexe"
    Change it to:

    "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninst.exe" /clean

(add a space and then the /clean )
Click OK to save the new command line.

Open the ZA and disable the "Load Zone Alarm at startup" found in the Preferences of the Overview. Then reboot.

Click on Start -> Programs -> Zone Labs -> Uninstall Zone Labs Security
Click OK to run the uninstaller, and OK any security alerts that pop up.
say "Yes when being prompted for the removal of all files and allow TrueVector to shut down.
After rebooting, check for the following folders, and delete them if you find them:

    "Internet Logs" (found in C\WINDOWS)

"Zone Labs" (under your Program Files folder)

"Zonelabs" (under your Windows System32 folder)
    Empty your recycle bin

You could do an optional check for ZA remmants (not critical if the ZA was working fine, but things do go wrong occasionally)>

Download the latest ZAPro from ....

or pick it from and the next release from...

    Download the latest ZASS from...

or pick from and the next release from...

Just be sure to keep a copy of the ZA licenses handy- on paper and on a file on the PC. You will need them for inserting them in the upgrade installations. Do not get them mixed up, since the Pro license will only work for the Pro versions. These latest installers can be saved for future use and the disks with the old versions are not so valuable.

Lets see if this fixes the trouble and if not, then please reply to this thread and lets see if we can figure something out.

    Best regards.
