I have been using ZA Free for a couple of years without any issues, but after upgrading to Version 7 I'm experiencing the following issue:
After a couple of hours (appr. 4) of running, the computer gives either one of the following errors:
Microsoft Visual C# runtime library
Runtime error Program H:\windows\system32\zonelabs\vsmon.exe
This app has requested the runtime to terminate it in a unusual way.....
The true vector internet monitor has shut down, do you wish to restart it?
After clicking 'yes', this message keeps on repeating.
The only way to get out of this is, is by restarting the PC.
What I've done sofar, following suggestions from this forum:
- Did a complete /clean install of Zonealarm and after that re-installed the latest version (including deleting directories like internet logs before reinstalling (actually, there are several descriptions for a full de-install on this forum, I tried 3 versions)
- Checked if I had the latest version of the runtime libraries (through support.microsoft.com/kb/259403 )
What I use on my PC:
- Windows XP Pro
- Microsoft office 2003, including outlook
- IE 6
- logitech webcam (also found something about that on this forum, followed those instructions too)
- Symantec antivirus
I have another PC with a similar configuration, without any problems.
Any suggestions where else I could look to solve this issue?
