    Default Anti-virus Error: task timed-out

    I keep getting this pop up message but my main program says it is up to date and all is go.

    Should I be concerned?

    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
    Software Version:6.5

    I suggest you look elswhere for an answer to this. It seems that zonelabs are not particularly concerned about helping any of their hundreds of subscribers experiencing the same problem.Regards

    Change your program control setting to either high or medium but not low, and then try a manual update. Then turn the control back to what it was.

    Was there ever a resolution to this problem?

    Ever since I upgraded (actually a clean uninstall of 6.1.774 then install) in my ZASS to 6.5.737 I've had the same recurring problem. But I never saw a resolution to this and kept my fingers crossed that the final Anti-Virus update OK message was valid.

    I'm considering whether to renew subscription, and would prefer to stay with 6.5, which is otherwise OK. I'm running XP SP2 on Pentium III 500Mhz and 384Mb RAM.

    Anyone?
