    Default system error: please reboot

message does not go away after reboot.
System is slow and seems to be related to a

"scanning" process - (sometimes multiple processes)
    running

four grey boxes next to the unlocked lock in the
    upper right corner

    suggestions?

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Not that it is any help, But I get the Same exact thing. The ScanningProcess.exe has been in my list of processes for awhile, cannot imagine it being new. However, When I get the system error: please reboot thing, It disables my connection to the internet. If I turn of ZoneAlarm, I can't access the internet that way either. Any idea?

After the latest recommended update I am now getting the same error message: system error: please reboot! No problems until after the update. If any of the guru's have some suggestions it would be appreciated!XPZone Alarm Security Suite7.0.470.000

If it will help I wanted to add that not only am I getting the system error message but the True Vector Internet Monitor service terminates unexpectedly and is down for several minutes then will come back up for a few minutes then go back down!

I was experiencing the same problem after upgrading to 7.0.470.000. A full de-install (in safe mode) followed by a re-install fixed it. It's now quite stable.

I am having the same problem. WinXP SP2.
TrueVector keeps crashing (in system log) and I get the System Error - Reboot message in the user Zonealarm app.
More importantly, since the Zonealarm update that appears to have caused this problem, OTHER apps crash too - but only ones that access the internet.
HEY CHECKPOINT - WANNA FIX THIS ONE INSTEAD OF LETTING US USERS JUST TALK ABOUT IT???

Hi!this is typically due to ZA settings corruption. Have you tried to reset your settings? This way:1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after rebootCheers,Fax

The fact remains that if several users are experiencing this issue then you (ZA) need to fix it. I don't see why virtually
every time (yes nearly every time) an upgrade is detected by Security Suite Pro, my stomach does somersaults and I am filled with dread. It doesn't fill me with confidence.
I will see how my PC reacts to yet another clean install post upgrade.
