    Hi!
this is usually due to corrupted settings or conflicts with installed applications/services or malware infections.
Finally it could be related to ZA corrupted drivers.

First try to reset your ZA settings (do not restore old settings). This way:

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

    Does it work now?
If not, you may need to remove ZA with "/clean" switch and reinstall.

    Cheers,

    Hi!
try to completely remove ZA following the instruction below:
    http://www2.nohold.net/noHoldCust542...n_install.html
Please remember to remove the folder detailed a the end of the above document (and keep note of your license).

Then re-download the installer (do not use any download managers).
    www.zonealarm.com/zapdownload/

Shutdown any security tools while installing ZA.

If the above fails we will need to go the third and last possible step.

    Cheers,
    Fax
EDIT: an usual do NOT import any previous ZA settings. Just in case they are the ones creating problems.
