Default Internet Explorer is attempting to monitor-Keylogger?

I know this has been asked and at times answered but there was no definite conclusion as to its safety and to whether to ALLOW.... So I begin again a thread in hopes that one of the guru's will make a definite decision that zone labs recommends.Application: iexploreProperties: General: iexplore.exeversion: MicrosoftName: IEXPLOREZone Alarm Pro: Version 7.0Windows XP SP2
Problem: popup notice that says: Internet Explorer is attempting to monitor users activities on this computer. Is this a keylogger? Is it safe to click the box and click ALLOW? I notice this more when I go to click EDIT and to click Copy and this popup occurs and I have clicked DENY and ALLOW and nothing seems to happen.....So is it the concensus from Zone Labs tech support that we should ALLOW and have no worries? I do thank you....Ben David

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version:7.0

Hi!if it started after the MSupdates is absolutely normal. A newpatch forIE7 has been installed and ZA has not yet included the chaged executable in the trusted ZA central database (white list of programs), IE7 need to monitor your keyboard for its Autocomplete function (web addresses). Please set to allow and "remember".Cheers,Fax

Thank you for the good information. I had the same problem and it
made me very nervous - especially when it said 'keylogger"

Thank you for this explanation, unfortunately
I now have another question relating to this topic.
Why does this happen each time I open IE 7 even though I have clicked on the "remember" area.
This is also happening with Adobe Reader, my Anti Virus program and a couple of others as well.
    CheersJudi

I began receiving this message after a Java update last week, but clicked deny.
It seems that since then IE sometimes completely shuts down when I click on a link - particularly downloads, and especially pdf files.
    Any remedy?

Hi Zone AlarmSome three or four years after this problem with IE was first reported in these forums, Zone Alarm is STILL reporting that "IE is trying to monitor user activities......", and the BRILLIANT [not!] Security Alert/SmartDefense
Advisor STILL has no explanation that makes sense!Mike
