Thread: AV object fails to load.

    Default AV object fails to load.

    I just wanted to report a very strange issue. During boot, immediately after explorer.exe, I recieved an error stating that the files refering to the AV/Anti-spyware module had been damaged, renamed, or moved. When I inspected the ZA control panel there was no reference to my AV in the left hand listing. After rebooting the AV was back and I could not find any logs of the event in my system to generate an error report with. This is mostly FYI, however, if this proves to be evidence of something serious, please advise me regarding a remedy.

    Hi!may be it refers to another tool been installed? Or a rouge tool?First check for rouge applications: check for security left overs: that ZA does not play nice with many other security tools. They may block its correct functioning including updates. For example, spyware doctor, spysweeper, trojan hunter, win patrol, PCtools Threat Fire, Mcafee, Norton, Symantec, Adaware, SpybotS&D, WinPatrol, AVG, NOD, Kaspersky and manyothers. If you want to troubleshoot issues with ZA please remove these tools (not enough to disable) and install back (if you really need) only after you see your ZA is working as it should.Cheers,Fax
