Default No internet access via client

    Hi there

I'm having trouble getting browser/email access from a client machine. I can ping the host and our ISP from the client, but the browser (Firefox) and email (Thunderbird) just can't get through. I've added the ISP's DNS numbers to a trusted zone, checked ICS is on, and identified the host as an ICS gateway in zonealarm v 6.1.737.000.

GHP & S&C app: I'm not sure how these affect the connection, but adjusting the ticks has worked before, but not this time: Generic Host Process has 3 ticks (left to right), and Services and Controller App. has 4 ticks.

    Any ideas?

    Operating System:Windows 2000 Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version:6.0

Does the ICS work if you shutdown ZAP?

No. I've tried just turning it off, and de-selecting the option to startup zonealarm at boot time. Problem remains. The next thing is to clean unstall and see what happenes I guess.

I don't know how to find out where it is being blocked, or whether it is in fact zonealarm causing the blockage. Is his possible without being seriously technical? cheers skruff
