Default Blocking incoming UDP 4672 despite the credentials

They keep telling me not to use Zone Alarm on a computer with eMule, however I've had no major problems with it. Even the memory leak issue seems to be finally fixed in 6.1.737.
My question is about UDP port 4672, i.e. Kad support in eMule. Namely, eMule has both access and server rights in my Zone Alarm settings, yet Zone Alarm in certain sessions (according to its logs) keeps blocking incoming UDP connections on port 4672. It may seem weird, but it is "session dependent". I don't know what causes it, it's just that sometimes when I boot the computer there will be no blocking of 4672, while sometimes it will keep blocking it (despite that fact Kad reports to be connected well in both cases).
    Any rational explanation anyone?

    Operating System:Windows 2000 Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)
    Software Version:6.0
