Thread: automated start and stop times for internet traffic?

Default automated start and stop times for internet traffic?

I use "Radio Replay" (kind of like
a software version of a VCR) to automatically record
    internet radio programs
    while I am away from
    the computer.
    I currently use a DSL
    and Norton AV.
It would be nice if there were a way to automate Zone Alarm so that
    internet traffic is only permitted
at the start time of the radio program and then internet traffic is automatically halted
at the time the program ends.
Can Zone Alarm already do this?
    If not,
are there any plans to add a feature such as this?
...and, if there are no such plans, does anyone know of software that can
automate the starting and stopping of an internet connection?
(I don't want the computer to be connected to the internet for hours while I am away.)
    Thanks, everyone, for your help.

    Operating System:
    Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:
    ZoneAlarm (Free)
    Software Version:

I think you can do what you want with Zone Alarm Pro by writing a 'Expert rule' or using the 'Pass-Lock' feature while your internet is locked. These feature is not available in Zone Alarm Free.

    Thanks, Bill.
I'll check out Zone Alarm Pro.
