    Default Firewall Zones lisitngs

I have an entry in the ZONES section of the firewall that on startup says it is a new network.
    The IP is not that
of my broadband, but of some defense security company from what I see in a WHO IS query.

How can I get rid of it, and is this a problem?
There is also a loopback adapter listing, 127.0.01.
    Thanks.

    Operating System:Windows 2000 Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
    Software Version:6.1

Have you tried clicking on the entry, then click to 'remove' it? Also, it is normal to have your Loop Back IP in the Trusted zone.

I have tried to delete it, but it says it is active...which causes concern. As for the loopback, I do not know. Thanks.

In addition to this entry, do you have other IP's in your Trusted Zone? Like your DNS or DHCP server IP's? Would you mind posting the IP?

It now shows New Network, 192.168.100.0/255.255.252.0, and the loopback adapter; these are the only listings in ZONES. Thanks.

The network ...192.168.100.0/255.255.252.0.. is the address for your LAN (Local Area Network) which tells me you are using a router, correct? This is as it should be with a LAN. Nothing nefarious going on here.
