    Default vpn not being allowed to access the internet..

    I've been using zone alarm for over a year, and suddenly today it won't allow my vpn to get access from the internet and I'm getting the message "communication with vpn has failed" Does anyone else out there work with a Virtual Protection Network? PLEASE HELP..

    Hi,

    If this behavior is new and you've not changed other programs, then I think Zone Alarm is not recognizing your program permissions and you should reset them. Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode. {Instructions if needed}
    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
    4.Reboot into the normal mode.
