    Default Cannot connect to network printer

    I cannot connect to my network printer with ZA (free) enabled. If I disable it I can print fine. I tried moving the 'Internet Zone' and 'TrustedZone' settings from 'high' (which prevents sharing)to 'medium' but still cannot accessmy printer. Only if I move the sliders to 'low' (off) can I print.Are there some other settings I can adjust/change?

    Also it will depend on what kind of network you are connected to. ZA only applies to TCP/IP networks and has no effect (control or protection) on Windows networks.

    If your printer is connected to your network via Windows (ie as LPT1 etc), it is likely a Windows networking problem and no fault of ZA. If it is connected via a print server on a TCP/IP network (eg HP JetDirect etc where the printer has its own IP address) it will either be a problem with confiuration of Zone Alarm, or the network addressing.

    Thank you for your posting here. It helped me to solve my trouble as well. I have a Brother multi-function machine that is connected to my home network and could not use the scan to file function without turning off the firewall before.
