    Default Norton Anti Virus

    All of a sudden ZoneAlarm is not letting my Norton do its Live Update. I have followed Symantec Directions by shutting down ZA to see if that was the problem. Sure enough the Live Update was successful. Symantec message say " to change the setting in ZA so that file "C:\Program Files|Symantec\LiveUpdate\LuComServer*.exe" be allowed to connect to the Internet. I have searched for instructions of how to do this with no luck. Can anyone help me out?

    Try resetting your database. Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm. How to get into Safe Mode, rebooting your computer, start tapping F8, you will get a DOS Screen (Black Screen), scroll down until you see Safe Mode, click on that and you should be good to go.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode.
    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
    4. Reboot into the normal mode.

    LUComServer is needed to access the internet as well as the LUCallBackProxy mess... under Access - both trusted and Internet, sometimes they need Server checked on trusted only or questioned
