    Default Trouble accessing programs

Hello, I'm having trouble accessing the Internet (browser: Firefox) and accessing AIM.
When I disable ZoneAlarm then Firefox and AIM will work.
Generic Host Process is set as: check, check, check, block
Firefox is set as: check, check, block, block
AIM is set as: check, check, check, check

However, none of these programs willwork. ZoneAlarm will not allow me to access the Internet
I have followed all the directions, including adding the IP of my DHCP and DNS servers to the trusted zone.
It has helped, but now it still blocks Internet Access
Help please, I dont want to keep zonealarm disabled.
EDIT: i checked program logs, and it has shown that the program blocked from internet access is named ccProxy.exe

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)
    Software Version:6.5

    Hi Insanity
I made a google in ssProxy.exe and found this is a file belonging to NIS (Norton Internet Security).Do you by any chance run or had run and then uninstalled NIS?
    Best regards

    Yea, thanks!
I have an HP computer, and it came with Norton Internet Security as well as Norton Internet Firewall.
    How can I fix this?
And why is Norton not being able to access the Internet impacting Internet access of other programs?
    Thanks again.

You probably are having a software conflict due to running two software firewalls.Although with some programs like antispyware and antitrojans this is not a big problem, with software firewalls and anti virus there is a strong probability of conflicts if running more than one. So,my best advice is you need to decide if you prefer Norton or ZA. In either case you need to uninstall the other. If you decide by ZA, uninstall Norton's firewall and keep the anti virus if you choose so.Note that if you read the ZL instructions, when installing ZA Windows XP firewall is disabled.
    Best regards
