    Default hardware/software firewalls

I have just installed a D-link router with built in firewall. My intention is to set up a home network. I'm only using one computer at the moment. I have ZApro 65.722.000 running. I am in the testing phase.Tests with ZApro both enabled and disabled and the routers block WAN ping enabled return a stealthed system i.e. the router firewall is stealthing all ports.

Is anyone aware of any problems I may encounter with a system protected by both hardware and software firewalls running concurrently?

    OS. W2K professional
    Anti-virus. NOD32
Adware SE plus with ad-watch monitoring enabled
    Browser. Firefox
Tested with Shieldsup and a few other online firewall tests

    Hi nwarp
Software firewalls and hardware firewalls generally don't give problems and in fact is advised to run a software firewall to get outgoing protection as the hardware firewall only takes care of incoming protection.Just to add that myself I run a wireless G Linksys router that also stealths all ports to the more known tests in internet and I also run ZAPro in each LAN computer.
    Best regards

Thank you for your comments particularly reminding me hardware firewalls only protect inwards bound traffic.
