    Default Program Control issues

    Hello,
WinXPsp2 ZA Free 5.5.094. Was not higher for not to loose the pass-lock, see
    http://forums.zonelabs.com/zonelabs/...d=58156#M58156
Everything smooth for about two weeks and soudainly (Like a had long time ago with W98 and ZA 5.1)
ZA do not accept more new programs, just does noting, no pop-up and the waiting program freezes or timeout.
With some like Skype, even the machine freezes.
A manual add program conducts to an truevector shut down / error but not open's any acces.
I do not know if ZA is limited in progs #, if the DB becomes corrupted, or ....
Some time a roll-back resolves the problem, sometimes no.
    A "Overinstall" does nothing.
Only a ZA uninstall with a "Clean" install resolves the issue but what a work each time.
It is really a ZA problem. When ZA is not running, the new or since long time not used progs are working fine.
    Some idea, link, suggestion
    Thank you / riostyles

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)
    Software Version:5.x

Please try a database reset to see if it would solve the problem:

1)Boot your computer into the Safe Mode

2)Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder

3)Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder

    4) Enpty the Recycle Bin

    5)Reboot into the normal mode

The ZA corrupted database will be completely removed and all previous settings and info will ge lost. However this may solve the problem.

    Thank you Oldsod,
Will try this next time I'm corrupted, I just "Reloaded" right now.

    Default I feel bad

    After an ultimate "Reload" again,
Since a week I use the old **bleep** 2.1.5, works wonderfull and the machine is much faster.
    Did many intrusion tests, clean.
    Much less conflictual events.
I know no further maintenance but have all the features needed, even sub-sub-details per point.
After all this years with ZA, it is a rude bludy divorce for me.
