Thread: Webmail Error

    Default Webmail Error

I have a webmail account on my web host provider, and I have difficulty accessing it when ZA is operating. Sometimes I can connect, but more often I can't. I can go through the login screen, but then I get a message telling me that I must be logged on to access the page it directs me to.

I have put the ip/url for the webmail in my trusted zone, and allowed everything for cookies at the same ip address, but it still does not work reliably unless I exit ZA. the problem happens across IE, Opera, and Firefox - it is either working with all of them or none, so it is not a browser issue. What am I missing?

I created a test account that I will leave up while testing this:

    http://wind-drifter.com/webmail (which redirects to:
    http://216.127.70.116/mywebmail/src/login.php )

    login: testing@wind-drifter.com pw:testing

I will take this down in a day or so, or after getting this resolved.

    Thanks for any help.

    Operating System:Windows 2000 Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
    Software Version:6.5

While we are at it, I am having an identical problem with the Gallery photo software on another site:

    http://gallery.menalto.com/

For both this and the webmail account in the previous message I have put them in the trusted zone and allowed all cookie options.

Both work fine when I exit ZA. With ZA running they work sporadically or (mostly) not at all. The only common thread I have found so far is that they both use php.

    Hi

I think the both problems are related. The sites listed in the Privacy need to have all of the Mobile Code disabled. This applies for the mail servers as well. Then clean the browser cache and reboot and try it again. Also some sites maybe missing from the list because they are asoociated sites and not neccessarily the site showing in the address bar of the browser.

A good resource is from Guru Hoov site at

OK - that seems to have done it. I went through the mobile code settings and that seems to have done it. Many thanks!
