Default Outlook Express needs to close

Suddenly, when I try to open Outlook Express, it says it needs to close, do I want to report the problem, then something pops up on Dr Watson needing to close and do I want to report the problem.
A spot stays open where the pop up was and when I reboot, it tells me it is closing Sysfader and that the progran is not responding.
I do not usually have any problem opening Outlook Express.
When I shut down Zone Alarm Security Suite I can open Outlook Express but then I do not have any e-mail protection or junk mail protection.
What can I do to correct this?

    Operating System:
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
    Software Version:6.5

Do you have an NVidia graphics card?

I have tried to find what kind of graphics card I have and can not figure out where to find it.
I have a Sony Vaio VGC-RD210G if that helps any. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.

    Hi

Open the System Information (Start > All Programs > Accesories > System Tools > System Information) and look under the Components for Display. The information should be listed there.

Today I am experiencing this problem as well.It has taken me quite a while to realize this problem was associated with ZoneAlarm. I should point out that it just started happening this afternoon - does that correspond with an automatic update?

I do have an NVidia graphics card. (I don't understand how that could be related to an email problem though.)Anyways, I'm running an Geforce 6800 GT, driver date: 8/11/2006, version 9.1.4.7, bios version 5.40.02.15.05 (actually this is forceware 91.47)
I'm going to assume that the question about video cards is related to driver versions. I'm going to update whatever is that latest on the nvidia site right now 93.71 and give that a whirl.

Updating the nvidia driver didn't resolve this issue.
I *am* able to open Outlook Express now by turning off all ZoneAlarm Email Protection options.

p.s. I have now tried booting to safe mode and removing the contents of the /windows/Internetlogs directory. - Didn't help.

Thank you, I have not had a chance to check the thread you sent.
However, the problem seems to have resolved itself this afternoon when I turned on the computer.
Outlook Express is working now with Zone Alarm Security Suite on.
    Again, thank you.
