    Default Windows Firewall and hibernation problems

    I just updated my Zonealarm and now I am having a lot of problems. One is that my computer is going into some kind of hibernation mode every couple of minutes (the blue screen where you need to click on the user name to get back in). My Internet keeps failing as well. Even when I've allowed it into the trusted zone. And finally, I tried to turn off the firewall in Windows (which it was before I did this update!) and now it wont' work. Even though I put a check in the "off", it stays on. All of the problems started immediately after I updated my Zonealarm. Now I don't know what to do. It's a nightmare! Help!!!!!

    Sounds like the ZA database has become corrupted. Removing it and starting from the begining may fix this problem.

    Try this>

    Boot your computer into the Safe Mode

    Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder

    Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder

    Clean the Recycle Bin

    Reboot into the normal mode

    ZA will be just like new with no previous settings or data
