Default truevector security service shut down

My Zonelabs firewall icon now has an "x" through it and when I scroll over it, a message reads "True Vector Security Service is shut down."
When I open Zone Alarm it reads "system error please reboot" in red at the top.
    After rebooting these messages persist.
    How can I fix this?
    Thanks.

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)

Look in the windows Event Viewer and see if there are any messages why this is happening. Let me know if you need to know how to get there.

    Hi
I appear to now have this problem and despite re-booting, removing ZA and re-installing it, the problem returns after a week or so. Can anyone help me please? i did send a message to Zonelabs, but they never reply! Any advise would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Try reinstalling ZA from the safe mode in windows. If it asks, do a clean install.
