in my programme settings list i notice a lot of programmes have
trust level 'super' . do any programmes need this level or should i change it to trusted? any advice is appreciated. i am so new to
zone alarm that i would appreciate any 'absolute neccessary settings'that i should look out for

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition

I assume the programs that have "Super Trusted" permission were automatically granted, correct? This means the program can perform suspicious actions without seeking permission. No alerts will be displayed. You can reduce that to "Trusted access" and programs can perform suspicious actions without seeking permission, but unknown programs must ask for permission. Thus any program that was automatically granted Super Trusted should work just fine with Trusted permission and still not generate an alert. But if any program with Super Trusted is reduced to Trusted and you then get an alert, it might be prudent to make sure that program is not a rogue program. Gosh I hope I helped and didn't just confuse matters.

    trusted level for everything?
