    I have ZA 8.0.59.000 using XP SP3.

Every since I installed the ZA update, I cannot access the internet without the Internet Zone Security slider on medium.
I have seen the threads about the Microsoft update but I do not have that update or at least it is not showing on the add/remove program list.
I have not seen any other fix on this forum.
Can someone please advise if there is another resolution to this problem?

Hi!isyour ZA firewall trusted zone set to MEDIUM and not to HIGH?Do you have your DNS and DHCP added to the firewall trusted zone? Are you running ZA with default settings or did you modify various settings under ZA?Cheers,Fax

    Thank you for responding.
Yes, my trusted zone is set to medium.
Not sure what DNS or DHCP is so I doubt it's in the trusted zone. Unless you are speaking about the loopback adapter which is in the trusted zone.
I am using ZA default settings other than the internet lock, which by the way, does not work anymore.
It used to lock when the screensaver came on but now if it locks, I can't get on the internet unless I shut down the computer.
I also changed some of the program control to "ask" rather than "block".
    Hope you can help.Thanks!

Hi!please remove ZA following these instructions:http://www2.nohold.net/noHoldCust542...n_install.html** remember to remove the folders detailed at the end of the document and take note of your license.ZASS does not play nice with many other security tools. They may block its correct functioning including updates. For example, spyware doctor, spysweeper, trojan hunter, win patrol, PCtools Threat Fire, Mcafee, Norton, Symantec, Adaware, SpybotS&D,and many others. If you want to troubleshoot issues with ZA please remove these tools (not enough to disable) and install back (if you really need) only after you see your ZASS is working as it should.Run ccleaner to remove any leftover and to clean your registry:http://www.ccleaner.com/download/bui...wnloading-slimRe-download the latest ZASS installer, you find it here:www.zonealarm.com/zasuitedownload/ Install with default settings do not alter them. Once installed and updated manually the antivirus/antispyware signature, scan your system for malware. Finished that double check that under ZA firewall tab --> Zone --> your DNS and DHCP is listed and set to trusted like the loopback adapter.Cheers,Fax
