    Default 0x8004210A - Outlook 2002

Why, just recently have I just started getting this message ?
Just downloaded the beta version and no joy.
Don't see why we, as paying users, should have to suffer these errors due to zonealarm.
As quick response and resolution would be courteous.

    Operating System:Windows Vista Home Premium
    Software Version:8.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

You're trying to connect but it's timing out.
    From http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827349
"Task 'smtp server name - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A): 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provide (ISP).'"
    and
"Task 'smtp server name - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A): 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provide (ISP).'"

Do you permit Outlook to send mail?
Could some privacy settings be blocking it?
What exactly do the ZA alerts say, if anything?
Perhaps you can add the server to the trusted zone and it would help?
Did you preserve your ZASS settings from the previous version? If so, make sure they're the same now.

We don't resolve nothing here. Just users, sorry.

If you search this site, there were similar reports in 2006 with version 6. Perhaps an old code has been resurrected in ZA, but I hope not
