Default intermittant "blocked access" security alert

I get intermittant "Zone Alarm Security Alert: The firewall has blocked access to 192.168.1.1[DNS] from your computer. Program: Generic Host Process for Win32 Services", even though, in Primary Control, I have all 4 access methods green-checked for Generic Host Process. Problem did not arise until after I installed Verizon DSL. They say it is not their fault. When it happens (which is often), usually, the only way I can get to the internet is to disable Zone Alarm (but sometimes I get thru OK). I am running WinXP Home, 2nd edition. Can anyone help?

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)
    Software Version:6.5
