    Default Outlook won't exit

Outlook is listed in the task manager after I close it.I have seen this in a few other posts. Has anyone founda solution?
Just noticed Paint Shop Pro 8 also has issues.
Windows and ZA have all current updates.

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Forum!

I am very sorry you are having problems with ZA and hopefully I will be able to find a solution for you.

Does Outlook components in the ZA Program Contol list have three green bar and both Trusted and Internet access and email rights?

Still having issues, PLEASE complete the following and PLEASE keep me posted on your results, THANKS.

PLEASE try the following, as this will bring the firewall back to the original settings.

I think is your Zone Alarm database has gotten corrupt and does not remember your Zones settings. Reset your database and see if that will fix it. Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm.

MAKE SURE you remove ALL the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files.

Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode.

    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.

    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.

    4.Then empty the Recycle Bin.

    5. Reboot into the normal mode.

How Do I Boot Into Safe Mode?

    Hi,

So I understand you clearly, the data base reset did nothing to solve the isssue, correct?

After further research on this forum, I found the following, if you are interested as other people had this problem and this is what they did to fix it, disabled email scanning. I wish it was a better solution. My other suggestion would be for you to contact our Tech Support and see what they suggest for you to do. Here is the link to them.

I found the solution! I shut ZA off completely and all my problems went away So let the malware come. At least it does its best not to alert you of its presence...Can't wait to hear what tech support says.
    Thanks Pete
