Default How to configure ZASS to mount a remote disk via VPN connection?

    Hello,
I want to share a disk with another person over the internet (read/write access). I'm currently using ZASS 7.0.470.000.
The goal is to mount the disk via the internet on the remote computer so we can share the same data.
I don't know how to configure ZASS. Remote desktop (Windows XP Pro) has been set up already and works.
I've seen many items here about remote access, but not what I'm looking for.
Is the VPN connection in Windows XP secure?
    Many thanks for your assistance.
    GuyR.

    Hello Oldsod,
    I have only
customised the following firewall settings in ZASS:
in the trusted zone security: Allow incoming and outgoing TCP ports on port 3389 in high security settings.
in the Internet zone security: nothing changed in high security settings.
At router level, I've set a port forward from the IP internet address to the internal machine.
No other special things done in ZASS.
Always able to give you more details you want,
    best regards,GuyR

Check the log in the Log Viewer of the Alerts and Logs.
Especially in the Firewall and the Programs.
The stored logs or backed logs are found in the WINDOWS\Internet Logs folder, if the ZA has archived the past events.
Some looking for blocked events is probably needed to solve this.

Is the disk your PC or theirs or another disk on another PC on your lan??
You entered one port, but what are the associated IPs to go with this port or IPs that will get used by the port?
Is their PC's IP entered as Trusted - not just the public IP but also their private IP (gateway and private IP)?
Your own gateway IP entered as Trusted?
Is the gateway set correctly - open up the 3389, allowed reply to pings and opened the ident (113)?
    Is uncommon protcols allowed?

The Internet Security Zone slider should be tried at Medium and this Medium should be used for the Trusted Zone Security as well.

    Oldsod.
    Best regards.
