How do I un-install the update. I do not see it in my Add/remove programs.

    Thanks,

In the Add and Remove Programs of the Control Panel make sure the "Show Updates" box is checked or ticked.

    Another related issue.

Previously, I did not allow Internet Explorer to access the internet without first asking. After applying the latest MS security update, IE goes ahead and directly accesses the internet, even though the ZoneAlarm settings are configured to prevent this.

It appears that MS is once again screwing with 3rd party firewalls.

Yeah MS is good at screwing with the third party software.

    Another follow-up.

It appears that *all* MS software bypasses the firewall block. I used to block MS Work, and require Outlook to ask for permission, but now both applications directly access the internet without prompting.

I never understood why MS Word needed to "phone home" every time it ran, but I have my hunches.

Add and remove progroms can be found by clicking on control panel

Having deleted this update, I am now stuck with an icon in my tray. Is there any way to get rid of this?
