    Default Updating ZoneAlarm

I see that the best fix for the problem with
Security Update for XP (KB951748) is to install the most recent version of ZA.
(I did a system restore in order to restore internet access as soon as I noticed the problem.)
However, getting the firewall set up always takes such a long time due to the various
.exe programs that require access in order to run the larger programs.
Is there a way to transfer all the firewall configurations from the current edition of ZA to the update of ZA without going item by item?
I'm running ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:7.0.470.000 on a Dell Dimension 4700.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

During the installation process of a ZA update you are offered the option of either update (keeps your old settings, mostly) or a clean install (resets most defaults and statistics but still seems to keep (most) of the program permissions. With a clean install, learn mode is a way of getting permissions automatically set relatively painlessly. Learn mode switches to full security in a few weeks (or whenever you so specify).
