    Default Can't start my PC after recent update

    Received a notification to update ZASS, everything seemed OK - waited for PC to restart, mouse and keyboard didn't work. Restarted PC, got into desktop and screen locked up - can't get any further, need advise on what to do as am worried I will have to start from scratch and lose all info on PC.

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Software Version:8.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

    Since you're already having problems, I recommend you go back to ZASS 7.0.483.0. Do the following:
    1) Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking (repeatedly tap F8 as computer restarts)
    2) Download ZASS 7.0.483.0 from here:

    3) Add " /clean" (without quotes) to the end of the ZoneAlarm uninstall shortcut Target field





    modified Target field: "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninst.exe" /clean

    4) Uninstall from modified shortcut;






    when ZoneAlarm requests a reboot, reboot into Safe Mode with Networking

    (begin after the 2nd *REBOOT in the webpage)

    6) Install ZoneAlarm (in Safe Mode with Networking);





    when ZoneAlarm requests a reboot, reboot into Normal Mode

    Thanks for the info, will give it a go - using laptop at mo so at least have something to work with. Will let you know if everything sorts itself out.
