Thread: User Interface is completely blank!

    Default User Interface is completely blank!

    This started with a problem with Anti-virus being out of date but refusing to update. So I uninstalled ZA and reinstalled having first cleared all the log files etc out of Windows.
    Having re-downloaded and installed, the user interface window is blank. It opens up and the heade is there but nothing else. I am running Winodws Vista Home Premium. Cam anyone offer any suggestions as to what has happened and how to fix it .

    Not to sure about the Vista, but if using the 8.x ZA then this ZA is for both XP and Vista (unlike 7.1.x which is Vista specific).

    But this should work un your Vista.

    This was the standard boiler plate:[*]Boot your computer into the Safe Mode[*]Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder[*]Delete the backup.rdb, iamdb.rdb, *.ldb and the tvDebug files in the folder[*]Clean the Recycle Bin[*]Reboot into the normal mode[*]ZA will be just like new with no previous settings or data

    but basically delete everything except the *.xml and* .ldb files will do a complete cleanup and cause no issues - indeed it should fix the present problem.

    I have tried this with no success. I have even uninstalled Zonealarm, deleted the logs and then reintalled it. It is just the same after a re-install. The user interface is there, or at least the frame of it is but nothing inside so completely unable to use the program. Pretty fed up with it really have used Zonealarm happily for years but just recently it has become nothing but trouble.
