Hi All!
I am in exact same boat. After 1-3hrs am unable to continue to connect to sites using either IE7 or FF. Except for https (GoogleMail, PayPal etc.) Have to reboot EVERY time to get it working again after that time period.
It's a new PC:
New PC ...Vista Home Premium 64bit SP1ZA Free
TrueVector Security Engine v8.0.298.000
Driver v8.0.298.000AVG 8.5 AntiVirusVerizon DSL
Westell Router
I've tried this:
Here's advice Guru Oldsod offered time and time again:
"Try this:
1. Go to Run type in command, hit OK, and type ipconfig /all then press enter. In the returned data list will be a line DNS and DHCP Servers with the IP address(s) listed out to the side
2. In ZA on your machine on the Firewall>Zones tab click Add and then select IP Address. Make sure the Zone is set to Trusted
3. Click OK and then Apply for each one.
4. The localhost or loopback must be listed as Trusted. It has the address of
5 The Generic Host Process or the svchost.exe listed in the Program list must have both Trusted and Internet access and it must have server rights for the Trusted Zone, but not the Internet Zone.

But if you have already done all of this, then post some more details so someone might help. Include your system version and ZA version and whether you use dialup or broadband and whether you have a router.

I've also tried this:
reset the ZA settings to the factory defaults. You will lose all your custom configuration.

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

I'm STILL getting the same issue.
Uninstall ZA and everything is fine. Driving me CRAZY having to reboot 5-6 times a day. I've been using ZA (NOT security suite)
since my Win98SE days & never had ANY issues like this. I'm certainly not gonna buy the "paid" version if there continues to have this issue. BUT I really like ZA and hope to get this resolved.
Anyone else have any other suggestions for resolving this?
