Thread: program wont stay open

    Default program wont stay open

    im using zone alarm free fire wall. when i open the program because it wont stay open when i log in it shuts down right after. I have tried removing all the zone alarm components and reinstalling but that did not work ether. please provide any help you can.thank you.

    I have the same problem with ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite (ZISS).
    After fighting excessive malware headaches, on 6/20/09 I gave up and restored the FACTORY IMAGE (Drive Image Special Edition) provided with my Fujitsu Lifebook C2310.
    I figured this would be a good time to install ZISS that I bought on Black Friday 2007 but had not yet used it. During the installation, I was offered to download and install a more recent version, which I chose to accept. My son (a net admin) helped with the install so I had trouble keeping up with his fast touch-typing fingers, but everything seemed okay when he was done until I got to use the system myself.
    ZISS is configured to load on startup (as it should), but
    almost
    immediately I receive a windows pop-up error
    indicating ZoneAlarm must close and offers to send the error report to Microsoft which I allow.
    Manually restarting ZISS results in the ZA icon appearing in the notification area (nee System Tray). Before I can click on the icon to open ZISS, the error report message pops up again, ad infinitum.
    Two things I noticed about the program's system requirements:<blockquote dir="ltr">1: I only have 512MB RAM while 768MB is listed as minimum.2. I am running Internet Explorer 8 while IE7 is the newest version listed as supported (Feb 2009).
