Default Zone Alarm Huge Problem

Not sure which forum to post this in so move it to the correct one if you want.

But for the past 6 months, maybe longer I have been occasionally getting a BSOD with a bad_pool_caller error. It didnt really happen often enough for me to search out the cause, but recently it's been happening every time I leave torrents running and my screensaver starts up. Takes about 2-3 minutes after the screensaver starts for the BSOD to appear, sometimes it takes a few hours.

I finally got windows debugger tools to find out the problem and it points to vsdatant.sys as the culprit, which is a zone alarm file. I uninstalled zone alarm, got rid of every registry key associated with it and tried to get rid of every bit of ZA info on my computer. I then reinstalled hoping it was just a corrupt entry or file, but no longer then 10 hours later I BSOD again with the same error and same file listed in windows debugger.

Anyone have a fis for this or know exactly whats causing the problem with torrents and my screensaver. It can happen with utorrent or azureus running and my screensaver Electric Sheep.

Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
Software Version:7.0
Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)

Just from a quick 'red box search' at the bottom of the page for past posts - 'bad pool callers' - intensive - and red box search -
azureus -
and red box
search -;q=azureus
From the red search box URL's
I have provided - search around see what others have posted.

Utorrent and azureus are particular programs that need 'server access' and three green bars [ but you have ZA 7x Free - which doesn't cutomize as well / nor
does it provide the advanced ZA firewall security
as well as the 'paid' versions { I may suggest getting any of the paid ZA firewalls - ZA Anti-spyware }
- ]
You have ZA 7x Free XP (only) - unfortunately, it comes with a
phamtom non-functioning 'hidden' ZA Suite - which includes a Kaspersky anti-virus that is 'suppose' to be "in-active" = but may interfere with your present running anti-virus and other functions. This may be a factor - I'm not sure. See -
