    Default Problem updating Zone Alarm

I have a problem trying to update the free ZA program. Despite reading through a lot of threads on the message pages, I was unable to find an answer to it. (Perhaps as a new user I did not know the right place to search.) The problem is that each time I try to update all seems to go smoothly until the very end, when I always get this error message:

Cannot load DLL library C:\document~1\TAMode~1\LOCALS~1\Temp090707151243\v sutil.dll(WSEDbgPrint).
The specified procedure could be found.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thank you, Searcher65

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Forum!

Are you using any type of "Web Download Accelerators" or "Download Managers"? If you are, PLEASE turn them off, as they will cause problems downloading with Zone Alarm. Also, PLEASE use Internet Explorer as your browser for downloading ZA.

Thank you for your time and have a great day or evening!

Thank you SlyFox for your answer, but it did not work using IE.
I do not think I use a download accelerator or manager; at least there is none in the Windows Explorer list of programs.
The download itself seemed to work using both the "save" and "run" buttons but again at the end of each try the same error message occurred.Could a bad vsutil.dll program be causing this?
If so, does anyone know how to fix it?Thanks for your time.

Thank you again SlyFox. I deleted 10 files that came from TruVector: 5 vsdata and 5 util, all Application
    Extension files.
There were also 3 files listed that I was unsure about as they did not have TruVector associated with them.
    1. ZLCient.exe-3881B464.pf that is in Folder C:\Windows\Prefetch. 2. Internet Logs in C:\Windows which is a
File Folder. 3. **bleep**.dat that is in Folder C:\Windows\System32.
Please tell me if I should delete them too.

    Dear SlyFox,
Well, I did everything from cleaning out those last 3 files in Safe Mode, checked twice they were not there, used CCleaner and removed 700 added files, then ran the ZA download again. I was optimistic it would now. Again, all went well until at the end I got the same !*#@&^ error message again! What a mess!! I am almost ready to say forget for this product but I am still willing to push on. Any new thoughts? From anyone?
By the way, where does this DLL file originate? Is it a MS program or does it come from someone else?
    Thanks again.

    SlyFox,
I had not tried to install it in Safe Mode, before but just tried it now. Before downloading, I redid a search and delete of the old files. Again downloading appeared OK but then it stopped and now I got a message:
"Unable to find the MSI package or patch, etc..."
So no luck again. It appears hopeless.
For my own education I would like to know where that DLL (and others) comes from.
    Thanks.
