    Default Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) since I updated

    I have had ZoneAlarm Security Suite (resubscribed two days ago) since the last 3 years.

    I am getting this error when my Outlook 2003 tries to receive and send.
    Task 'POP.online.net - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

    I am running
    XP home SP2 (auto win updated)
    ZA Internet Security Suite 7.0.362.000
    No other AV, Spy bots etc

    I have tried to do everything possible.

    Reinstalled Outlook 2003
    Reinstalled ZA
    Given Generic Win 32 Full access in Program control
    Ditched my multiple accounts on Outlook.
    Increased time-out from 1 to 2-7minutes

    The error disappears when I shut-down ZA

    So this has to be something that ZA is provoking.

    Please Help!!!!

    Hi!yes, automatic update for this version has been disabled. Did you updated manually?Just disable the "e-mail scanning" feature under the advanced options of the antivirus/antispyware tabA new version should be released soon to fix this and other problems with build 362.Cheers,FAx

    Should I download another version and make a clean install?

    I did not do a manual download but it was the download link that the ZA sent me when I paid my subscription.

    So do you think there will a update soon?

    Is turning of the email scan dangerous for my computer?

    Hi!if your ZA is running well and this is your only issue just use it. There are no security issue, your AV wil check e-mails "on access" and block any malware. However, if you are experiencing slowdown or AV scanning issue better to clean uninstall and install version 337 (you find it in the ZA web page, under customer support, select your version and click on release history)The new version is currently at beta stage (www.zonelabs.com/beta) and should be out soon (no eta yet, may few days, weeks, don't know)Hope this helps.Cheers,Fax

    I think I'll just stay with this if you think there are no security issues.
    I have wasted a lot of time the last three days trying to get around it.
