I
recently tried to install the free ZA firewall onto my partner's laptop. She has Vista, and cannot
browse using Internet Explorer - strange, that - so I got her up and running with Mozilla Firefox. So far, so good. But when I completed the ZA download, it proved to be impossible to get onto the internet - I forget the exact message, but the upshot was, no entry to the web. I had to uninstall the ZA firewall, and everything was OK again.
That is problem 1. Why couldn't she log onto the internet? Is Mozilla the problem? Or Vista?
Problem 2 is that she runs with a Norton full suite which is due to expire any time now. There is an excellent ZA deal at the moment - $40 for 2 years, the full monty. So I wanted her to take the deal. She is not sure of the exact date of her Norton expiry, but if she buys the ZA siute and installs it now, will it cause problems with the Norton software? And if she installs it, will it cause the same problems as the free ZA firewall seemed to?
And is the ZA firewall/antivirus suite any good anyway??
Anyone out there can help?
