    Default ZA free Vista BSOD

Have tried to install ZA Free on at least 5 Vista platforms that friends have purchased new in the past few months. The PCs have been all brands and towers or notebooks. Four out of five attempts have resulted in blue screen.

Both McAfee and Norton antivirus programs were removed prior to ZA install

Vista firewall was turned off prior to ZA install.

OS was either Vista Home or Vista Home Premium.

    Operating System:Windows Vista Home Premium
    Software Version:7.1 (Vista)
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)

Was the Norton Removal Tool and the McAfee Removal Tool used before the ZA was attempted?

What are the messages in the BSOD showing?
The codes are important to know to help trace the problems.

Sorry. Most of my friends became agitated when the blue screen appeared so I was more involved with fixing the problem rather than doing any documentation.

I'll write them down next time.

Actually MS calls the codes found in the BSOD Bug Check Codes.

There are many sites that cover the BSOD codes. I will assist if you find and post the exact codes.

Wondering if anyone can help me?
I am having the same issues but with different error messages and BSOD.

I do not use Norton or McAfee, did not use those tools.

Here is some info about my situation.

    ZoneAlarm version:7.1.248.000
    TrueVector version:7.1.248.000
    Driver version:7.1.248.000

Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium
    Antivirus: AVG Free

    My error always says TCPIP.SYS
    0x00000D1
    8D74CF5B base (something)
    8D795000

Not sure if that info helps
