    Default MAJOR problems - Internet Security Suite 2007

    Just purchased ZA Security Suite 2007 from Amazon UK.
    Uninstalled the previous free trial of AVG.
    Ran ZA CD - got to 100%, then said True Vector has shutdown, please reboot.
    PC then froze.
    We rebooted PC, but now it brings up desktop background & nothing else.
    NO icons, NO start menu, NOTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    We cannot do anything.
    Please help !

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

    Hello,When you boot up to your desktop (I presume there are no icons/start menu/etc), press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to summon up Windows Task Manager. Press File > New Task and type in:"C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninst.exe" /clean /rmlicense
    (add a space and then the /clean /rmlicense) <UL><LI>Click OK to run the uninstaller, and OK any security alerts that pop up. <LI>Say "Yes when being prompted for the removal of all files and allow TrueVector to shut down. <LI>Reboot.<LI>After rebooting, check for the following folders, and delete them if you find them:</LI>[/list]

    "Internet Logs"

    "Zone Labs" (under your Program Files folder)

    "Zonelabs" (under your Windows System32 folder)<UL><LI>Empty your recycle bin <LI>Reboot <LI>Download a new installer from here and reinstall.</LI>[/list]

    Thanks for the reply.
    I
    have now managed to install &amp; run the 15-day trial of ZA - we had to do a system restore as it still would not uninstall from those instructions, but I managed to wipe
    all previous
    AVG/ZA versions eventually &amp; install from your link.

    I presume that once the 15-day trial version is up, I can just enter the licence key on the product case to continue ?
