Default Upgrade from ZA Suite 6.5.738.0 to 7.0.409.0

    ZA advises
me to download an upgrade: 7.0.409.0
which I did last month. I tried to install this upgrade but ran into many problems. Upon installation of this upgrade, my anti-virus definitions would not update.
I am currently using ZA 6.5.738.0. All definitions are up to date, should I just ignor the upgrade to 7.0.409.0??
    Thanks

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Forum!

I am very sorry that you are having issues with ZA and hopefully I will be able to help you find a solution.

I guess you mean version 7.0.408.0as their is NO 7.0.409.0, as far as I know of. That's your decision if you want to upgrade or not. If you happy with your current version and having NO Problems, then stay with it. There is a NEW BETA that was released recently, if you decide to try that, but remember this is ONLY a BETA. Here is the info on it, if you decide to try it.ZoneAlarm Security Suite 7.0.448.000 Beta

    Version currently in testing:

PLEASE keep in mind this a BETA VERSION and PLEASE make sure you know exactly what you are doing if you decide to download this BETA. Also, PLEASE make a RESTORE POINT before installing it, just in case something should go wrong and then you can go back again, where your computer worked correctly.

PLEASE keep me posted on your results, THANKS.

Thanks SlyFox,It is definately 7.0.409.000. Not sure why ZA asks whether I want to upgrade? I just wish that the upgrade pop-up would stop.

Hi,If you would like that pop up to stop. PLEASE change in your Firewall under Preference, Check for Updates from Automatically to Manually. This should stop the pop ups. If not PLEASE post back, THANKS.SlyFox

I own the ZA suite. I bought 6.5 and finally decided to go with 7.0.337.000. I tried upgrading to 408, but learned that it is actually a downgrade. When I installed it, I had no antivirus protection. If you own the suite, then don't do the upgrade. ALSO, I AM CONVINCED THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ANTI-VIRUS AND SPYWARE DEFINITIONS. My machine went completely screwy after the update, and I wasted a day figuring it out. From now own, ZA doesnt' get to update anything automatically.
