Like many others, I have been having the problem with ZA (free) blocking my dsl after my pc hibernates. I tried to update my ZA to the 462 edition many have mentioned, but it seems that 408 is the best my ZA can get. I even tried going to the update history page (at http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/fre...seHistory.html), but it doesn't even list the 462 update. I'd go back to to a previous version if I knew for sure which one to pick...I just want to be able to let my pc hibernate overnight and then go back online safely without rebooting.
I also tried running the ipconfig /all trick, but that window won't stay up long enough (closes after less than 1 second) for me to see, and I can't figure out how to keep it from closing as soon as it opens. I already have the 127.0.0.1 address in my Trusted Zone. I found another post saying "The Generic Host Process or the svchost.exe listed in the Program list must have both Trusted and Internet access and it must have server rights for the Trusted Zone, but not the Internet Zone." and checked that this is true for my installation.
What have I missed? I'm running XP SP2. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
