Default ZA upgrade installation crashed - now get TrueVector error during installation

I'm running free ZA version 7.0.408 and tried to upgrade to 7.0.462. Installation froze.
After cold boot, the computer froze at startup, presumably when trying to load ZA.
I went into safe mode, uninstalled ZA.
Reinstalling ZA in normal mode gave me this error:
TrueVector service encountered a problem and had to close, etc.
I went back into safe mode, uninstalled ZA.
Then I reinstalled ZA in safe mode.
    Got the TrueVector error again.
I even tried installing ZA version 6.
    Didn't work, either.
    So I'm stumped now.
    Any thoughts?

Default Re: ZA upgrade installation crashed - now get TrueVector error during installation - SOLVED!

After trying the same processes over again, I found some help in the stickies at the top here.
I followed Oldsod's advice with some minor alterations.
For one thing, I couldn't uncheck Load ZA at startup, because it wasn't properly installed in the first place.
But the list of folders to empty was good.
I hadn't emptied all of them before, and maybe that helped.
Did it all within safe mode, by the way.
Also, I stayed with 7.0.408 on reinstallation.
No reason to mess around again.
    Thanks.
