Thread: Anti-spyware cannot patch spyware database

    Default Anti-spyware cannot patch spyware database

    Any solution for cannot patch spyware database error for xp home?
    reason: can't delete LocalCatalog.xml either in safe mode or normal mode; no gpedit.msc

    during update, SpywareDatabase-70-Patch.zip downloaded and unpacked ok, then patch failed
    anybody know which file is the database update try to patch?

    Help, please!! Urgent, seems this problem not addressed by zone alarm, as some suggestion for xp pro works..

    George, Thanks for reply.

    My system is XP Home Edition, as I said in the reasons I post the requirement, I can't delete LocalCatalog.xml either in safe mode or normal mode, neither do I have gpedit.msc to edit object policy.

    According to my observation, update seems capable of fix LocalCatalog.xml corruption: after I delete the downloaded zip file, it shows can't open .zip and downloaded again in 2nd trial...

    update also extract/open the zip file, it's just can't patch the database, which I don't know which file/where it is..
