Default vsmon keeps stopping my IE. How do I stop this?

I get into the web thru IE and its fine for a while then slows down. I keep having to reboot my computer all day. Mozilla works OK. I finally went to Task MAnager and saw the vsmon file at 33K. I ended its process then clicked on IE and it let me into the web. Problems is it lets me stay for only a while as everything slows down then stops. I have to do this all day long.
This is the newest version.
This is my LAST attempt to use this product. If no one can help me on this its being taken out and replaced with a hardware wall and different virus and spyware software.

Everything is already as you said. Its not a particular program or site---its I.E. If I go to task manager, vsmon is at about 32K. I DISABLE it, and everything works well. It starts up as soon as I go back into IE, and my browsing starts to take longer and longer until I cant access any websites. Then I have to go back to task manager and start over again. Its about a 15 minute cycle, sometimes more. VSMON is the culprit!

VSMON is the culprit! This utility is the Main Guts of your ZoneAlarm Firewall, if you diable it, you might as well Uninstall Zone Alarm..If you have granted Trusted and Internet Access and three bar Green Trusted level for ALL of the Internet Explorer listings in the Program Control Section, (I have Three IE related Entries.)then ZA will not Block IE, Unless your using IE to read Mail, the the "Send Mail" option needs a Green Check Mark also..The Only other thing is that the ZASS Privacy Section Site-List controls access to all Web-Sites that you Visit..--------------------------------------------------------

Ahh so thats why it lets me in after I do that---Ive disabled ZASS temporarily. Well than something else in my ZA settings is blocking IE but the strange thing is how it slows it down then finally cuts access off. Ive done everything you said and its still like that. Im totally perplexed.

I only have two other suggestions?A.) have you tied Resenting your ZA Database? just incase it got corrupted? ZA has incorparated a new way to Reset DataBase files so users don't need to go into Safe mode.

To repair this problem, please follow the steps below. Please note that
this will remove your program permission settings (so you may want to make
note of them), but re-establishing them is a simple process.

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock in the system tray lower right corner
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot
