The License Key is case sensitive..

1.) If you purchased the Box version of ZoneAlarm Security Suite

Pay particular attention to the print style on the Disk envelope..

the letter "O with a Slash means it is the Number Zero not Letter Oh..

Also the Lower Case "L" is mistaken for the Number One.. or Lower Case "I" (eye)

the letter "Q =q" can some time be mistaken for "oh" or "G = g"

2.) receive a license key by E-Mail, it is best to "Cut and Paste"

Default Re: License key information

1.) About your License Key? was it via Email from Zone Alarm, or printed on the disk Sleeve
of a retail box?
2.) All license Keys are Type Specific.. meaning ZA Internet Suite Keys will only work with any version of ZA Internet Suite... Ver 6, Ver 7.0.., 7.1...8.0...,
etc. You can not change to a different product like ZA Pro or ZA AntiVirus by yourself; but you can downgrade or upgrade if you call ZA Customer Service to do so - first.
[ you can not combine two different ZA firewall products; for example if you have ZA Pro and want to install ZA Antivirus product - the two separate ZoneAlarm firewalls will not combine/ unify > you may need to install ZA Suite. But please post your question in ZA forum - we will be happy to supply any necessary info. ] http://www.zonealarm.com/store/conte...comparison.jsp
3.) All License Keys are Case Sensitive, so they must be entered EXACTLY, best to just copy and paste key in appropriate area. For more information on how to Input Your License Key - click here > http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/...mp;action=view
- How to copy and paste.
4.)
With the Email license and printed License on the sleeve of a retail box - they will be printed with Capital Letters and Numbers. Some people may mistake:

- the
captial letter
(O) for
> # Zero (0)
= { no letter " O / o " }...there are just number - zeroes ' 0 '
- or capital letter '
I
' { Inside } and # 1
,... there are letter {
I and #1 }
{
inside and

number one}
[the letter
' I ' ~ may appear like this ' l ' ~ but there are no letter " L / l " { Lady }
-
or mistake two letters VV
{ Voluptuous } as a W = really two ' V 's together {actual reported case}; of course there are ' V ' and ' W '
- there is no letter " L / l " { Lady } large case nor small case.
5.)
After you input your license key into the appropriate area of ZA, you will see 'small case letters and large numbers' translation.
You may be asked to restart/ reboot.
{ It may take a day later for the key to be accepted; as several ZoneAlarm databases confirm and verify your supscription } You should see "Your license key was successfully installed" > now, even if you see this, the license key may not show up, yet. It may take an hour or so, or until the next start up/ next day before the correct info is made by ZoneAlarm updating. You should make sure ZA's file > "Check Point Updating Client" in ZA program control has green checks and allowances to make the update and modify your display key. There is also a dialogue box where you can verify the key, you may want to check. So if you've just installed a new license key and it does not show up; please do not worry, give ZA some time for it's database(s) to confirm and verify and it will usually update the key in an hour or so, or upon next start up. Once you see the words "Your license key was successfully installed" the process has begun and you should be ok - soon.
6.) If you have a single license key with an XP pc/laptop and have recently gotton a new Vista pc, you will need to either: properly
*un-install *
the ZoneAlarm product from the XP pc first >
and then you can use the same license on the new Vista pc /or
buy a new 'subscription' for the new Vista pc - 2nd pc. [ if you upgrade a single
XP pc to Vista > you may use the same license key again with that single license key for ZA
]
7.) If you have a 3 pc license subscription; you can use with a mix of any three "XP/2000 and Vista" pc/laptops with that single key. Once the first key is used - the countdown begins on all three > pc spots/slots - to be used.
8.) * If there are problems with
your license - you may use this 'un-install instruction/ re-install' - click here >

http://www2.nohold.net/noHoldCust542...n_install.html
{ space before "
/clean" and space before '
/rmlicense' *
8 A.)
And see this/ click here >

License Key Help Center Having trouble entering your license key?
1 - Finding the license information screen
[*]Open the ZoneAlarm Control Center by double clicking the ZoneAlarm logo in the system tray in the lower right corner of your Windows desktop.[*]Click the "Overview" tab from the menu bar on the left side of the Control Center screen.
Then click the "Product Info" tab in the upper right portion of the screen.[*]In the Product Info section, you will see "License Information".
2 - Installing your license key
[*]Click the "Change Lic." button in this section.
A new window titled "License Information" will open showing your current license key.[*]From the "License Information" window, paste the 27 digit license key (or type it manually) in place of the key that is listed there.
Note: Be sure to paste into the first license field on the far left; this will input the entire license.[*]Once you have pasted the new key, click "Apply".[*]If you have been successful, you will get a message "Your license key was successfully installed."
3 - Congratulations, you have completed the license key installation process.

Note: For error-free results, do not enter your license key by hand - Copy and Paste it.

If you correctly entered your license key and still received the message that it is invalid,

License Key Help Center Enter your current ZoneAlarm license key to verify

See > http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...;message.id=66
I have a boxed ZA Suite 2006/2007 -single key - it has 3 sets of five (alpha/#) and then 2 sets of 6 (alpha/#). White box with purple semi-circle.{My boxes claim to be Vista- Ready; but really is not } .
The new retail boxes of
2008/ 2009
are Vista Ready.
Oh, almost forgot, did you restart/reboot after installing ZA or changing/in-putting license? Another tip - if you enter a new key today, it may not register the right number of days left/ the correct license information until tomorrow; there are several ZoneAlarm databases verifying and confirming your subscription. Wait a day or two. If you have correctly entered the license key and your subscription is correct it will usually be properly set the next day.
In some cases you may receive a new license key for a Renewal and after you input the new key it will not hold; you will see that the expiration date has been extended correctly > this may mean > ZA has decided to let you keep the same 'old' current key and has acknowledged the 'renewal' with the extended expiration date. Keep the same 'old/ current' key = it is valid = so long as the expiration date has been extended properly. { but keep the new key they sent you written down or printed somewhere - just in case

}
Tips: For first time users of ZoneAlarm - [*][*]

1- Have you properly un-installed any previous firewall and/or anti-virus?? = this needs to be done - Click here > http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...message.id=154
. Most new pc/laptops come with pre-installed security software, which should be properly un-installed prior to installing any ZoneAlarm firewall product. [ SuperTip: if you have used any free trial/ pre-installed
security software > please be sure to cancel your account.]
Just One, Not Two -- Never use two software firewalls at the same time. Completely uninstall one before installing another. Use the vendor's uninstall utility or if not available, use the Windows XP add/remove software tool in the control panel.
Just One, Not Two -- Never use two anti-virus products at the same time.
