    Default (re-)installation problem (zass on vista sp1)

    hey,
    couple of weeks ago i decided to try the vista sp1. unfortunatly zass wasn't working at the time, so i tried to deinstall it.
    didn't work. i deleted everything which i found and which was related to zonealarm (including the regestry).
    after that i installed kis7.
    now that zass suports sp1, i want to go back. i deinstalled kis and run the removal tool.
    when i now start the installation of zass, it fails while installing "vsdatant.cat".
    i searched in here and did everything i found but i had no progress in installation.
    i don't want to reinstall my windows, so if you have any idea, let me know.

    well, thanks. but i'm not getting a bluescreen during installation.
    the error appears at 7% while installing vsdatant.cat. it says: 'installation of zone alarm security suite has not been completed'
    the topic is 'cancelling install'. i haven't cancelled anything.
    i've no more ideas how to solve this problem.

    thanks, i contacted tech support today. hope it was working. i used firefox, 'cause i deinstalled ie7.

I usually get an Auto Generated Confimation E-0Mail with a Case Number in 30 minutes to an Hour..Alao check your Junk Mail folder if @zonelabs.com or @checkpoint.come are not in your whitelist..Someone once told me that the Web-site Submit Button Did not function well with FireFox? the Auto Generated Confirmation Email and the Subition of your Request to Tech Support are activated when you Click the Submit Button, But if the FireFox does not sent the Right signal to the Web-Form when you press the Submit button, nothing is generated and no report files?That is why it is recomended to use EI on the Tech Support Form..Please keep us Posdted on your Progress..

    ok, didn't worked. i've done it now with opera, was no problem.

    i got an answer from tech support. everything they told i've found in here.
    there was no way to solve the problem. i reinstalled vista. now it's working again.
