Default New ZoneAlarm Pro 70.470 TrueVector crashes

I ve installed ZAP 70.470 as requested by the 70.462 version, as usually.

The install was OK, reboot the PC but the
NEW TrueVector (70.470) crashes without restarting automatically as it did before.

I ve downgraded to 70.462 and now it works fine. BUT the 70.462 reminds me to upgrade to 70.470.

Why the new TrueVector 70.470 crashes (no message given)?

Why the new TrueVector 70.470 does not restart as it did in previous version?

When a possible corrected version will be available?

    Thanks,

    \dany

    Hi!

try to update to the latest version with a "clean install" (i.e. not keeping any previous settings).
Your settings are not loaded corretly by the latest version.

i have also installed that update and got truevector down at startup.
i am successful though on having a clean install of 7.0.462.
but a while ago i had a popup recommending me to update. i don't know if it's 7.0.470, what do i do?
am i at risk of missing some virus definition updates if i don't upgrade to .740?

    Hi!
please open a new thread and describe in detail your problem including the version of ZA you are using.
    ZASS? ZAAV? ZAAS?

If you want to upgrade choose the 'clean install' when asked by the installer.
This should solve any corrupted settings issue that cause truevector to crash.

So if the solution is to do a clean install why is their an option to do an upgrade?

ps also had this problem. I don't ever remember having to do a clean install before to do an update?

    Hi!
upgrade works fine if ZA settings are not corrupted or the upgrade process is not blocked by the OS or other software running.

For the above users, unfortunately it was not the case.
This is why a clean install or a reset of the settings are suggested.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply. I must be another one of those corrupt users.

I'll try the clean install option.

    Thanks,

    Dennis
