Greetings, all! First posting so please forgive any netiquette breaches.

I'm running XP Home, ZA 70_462 (Free), AVG Antivirus, AVG Anti-Spyware, Spybot, and Ad-Aware on a dial-up connection. About 4 wks ago, I enabled the automatic updating of ZA. About 3 wks ago, on connection of my email client, an email "froze" after 2% download but incoming "traffic" continued. A "pennant" from the ZA icon in the System Tray read something like "Update proceeding", when hovered by the mouse arrow. After some 8 hours, the download totalled some 5.4 MB, before I had to disconnect. I have now disabled ZA but the inward traffic still recommences every time I connect. I have tried to identify the traffic via Task Manager without result. I am presuming that it is a ZA Update that, having been originally "accepted" by my PC some 3 weeks ago, recommences automatically every time I connect, even though I have now disabled ZA. Is this possible? If so, how can I terminate the action?
