Thread: Anti-Spyware - Couldn't connect to the server

    Default Anti-Spyware - Couldn't connect to the server

    I installed ZA Security Suite today, ensuring all other virus and spyeare was gone first.
    The install seemed to go fine.
    I ran a Update for Virus and Spyware.
    The Update ran fan for Virus but for Spyware I got a message "Anti- Spyware
    -
    Couldn't connect to the server".
    I tried a number of things with
    no luck.
    I decided to do a full uninstall/reinstall but that did not resolve the problem either.
    I need help please.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

    Does anyone have any thoughts on this one for me?
    I sure would apprecuate any insight as I am at a stand still.

    Hi George, sorry for the delay in responding.
    It turns out that the hard drive had issues and finally crashed before I could get around to trying your suggestion.
    I have ordered another drive and am waiting for it to come in.
    My bet is that the issue was drive related as I having a series of other very strange problems.
    I will reinstall ZASS when I get the new drive and report back then.

    Thank your for the feedback..I've had my Share of Crashed or worn out Hard drives..Good luck with seting up the new Hard drive..
