I want to completely remove version 5.4 of ZASS from my computer so I can replace it with something else. I really liked this version of ZASS, before they added the antispyware and switched to Kaspersky, but they won't renew my subscription anymore unless I upgrade to a newer version, which I don't really want to do.
Can I still use the New, easier uninstall instructions 2006-08-29 listed under Helpful Hints and Links to remove my old version completely so that other antivirus and firewall software won't crash and burn? Or are the current instructions mainly for the newer versions of ZA? I noticed that some things have changed since the last time I looked, and I wanted to make sure these would work for me.
Another thing I was wondering about was Windows System Restore Points. Are there ZA remnants like registry settings in there? Will they cause problems later on if I install new security software? I was thinking of setting a restore point before I tried to uninstall just in case something went horribly wrong with the computer after I removed ZA, and I needed to rollback and try again.
